The wonderful thing about water is – everyone drinks it.
Now it may be that not everyone enjoys water – drinking it, that is – but it’s undeniable fact: from the tiniest organisms to the largest creatures on our planet – drink water we must.
The reasoning here is, if we must drink water, we should, at least, enjoy doing so!
That’s where AquAid comes in.
We’re not only a well-established, highly experienced supplier of a comprehensive range of water dispensers, we are constantly evolving, making sure that we provide our absolute best in both products and service.
Which means we know a thing or two about how to make your water-drinking experience a positive, uplifting one.
Here’s how:
- We offer a free on-site consultation. This helps to make sure that you have the water dispenser with a capacity commensurate to your drinking water requirements.
- Our range of water coolers dispense cool, chilled, cold and hot water, so whatever your preference, there’s always a refreshing option available.
- We offer a variety of models – from space-saving desktop coolers to larger dispensers ideal for high-traffic areas.
- We’re fast and efficient! A bottled water cooler can be installed within 48 hours and mains fed water coolers within 3 to 4 days.
- We think beyond business. This is achieved through our committed, ongoing donations to the charities we have supported for more than 20 years.
It’s a great feeling to know, that while you’re busy replenishing your water bottle or glass at your water dispenser, you’re also helping to fund the installation of sustainable safe water resources for thousands of communities in need.

#GenerationRestoration is the theme for this year’s World Environment Day. The focus is on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience.
According to the United Nations ‘desertification is one of the biggest environmental threats of our time. It refers to land drying up due to reduced rainfall, the expansion of agriculture, including deforestation and poor irrigation practices. Climate change is exacerbating desertification: right now, around 2 billion people live on drylands vulnerable to desertification, which could displace an estimated 50 million people by 2030. If people cannot grow food, they will need to move to an area where they can, increasing the risk of desertification, and having negative effects on landscapes, wildlife and human health.’
The positive news is that there are numerous programmes in place, all of which contribute towards helping grow forests, revive water sources and bring back soils.
As a company, AquAid have long understood how vital it is to address such environmental issues and at the core of this philosophy and ethic is our ongoing commitment to support charities that strive to address the very challenging issues of drought, deforestation and poor irrigation.
We achieve this, in large part, by donating a portion of our revenues generated from each installation of our Mainsfed Water Coolers and each purchase of Bottled Water. These donated funds are used by charities such as Christian Aid and The Africa Trust who implement vital sustainable water resources and farming practices that help regenerate fertile soil, capable of growing food crops, grazing for livestock and water for potable and productive use for thousands of communities in developing countries.
If you too would like to be part of #GenerationRestoration, be kind to your planet and help contribute towards a better environment, simply by drinking water, then chat to us at AquAid.

Are you one of the ‘if your popcorn doesn’t have a Red Sea amount of salt on it, it isn’t popcorn’ people? And, even after doing this, you wonder why you are so thirsty.
Or, are you more of a be out all day in warm weather, keeping active, running from place to place, sweating a bit and wait-until-the-last-minute where you’re absolutely parched and then you guzzle fizzy drinks (packed full of sugar) which will probably make you more thirsty than before you drank them.
Or, do you load up on fast food which is packed with too much salt (and then you still add loads of salt to your meal or chips) and again, wonder why you’re feeling so thirsty?
Whatever your thirst metiér is, I’m sure it doesn’t help realising that most of our extreme thirst is self-imposed. That being said, there are simple solutions to counteract these determined efforts to keep thirsty.
That’s where AquAid come in. We understand the importance of keeping you informed about how vital it is to drink water; to advise about how to keep from becoming dehydrated (occurs more often and easier than you might think); what to drink; how often to drink it and in general, how to keep yourself healthily hydrated.
Part of achieving this is through the provision of our spankingly smart range of:
Bottled Water Coolers
Mains Fed Water Coolers
Water Boilers
Hotel and Catering Solutions
Water for Schools
and
Instant Taps
We invite you to click on any of the above listings to browse our range of water dispensers and complete the simple contact form to have one of our experienced team get in touch and provide you with any information you require.

With 24 January being International Day of Education, we thought it important to highlight an often overlooked yet crucial solution which aids children’s education.
Dehydration in children can be difficult to spot
Most children show no obvious visible signs of dehydration, as symptoms such as lethargy, irritability and lack of concentration may be considered normal during class, more often in the afternoon however, we now know that these signs may be due, at least in part, to the effects of dehydration.
The brain cannot store water
No matter the age of the schoolgoer, learning requires the brain’s engagement. Because the brain has no way to store water, drinking water continually throughout the day is vital. When the body loses more water than is being replaced, dehydration occurs and brain function can be affected.
However, when the brain is operating with plenty of water, children are able to have greater clarity, creativity, focus and quicker thought processes.
Well-maintained hydration can boost learning
When we are thirsty, mental performance including memory, attention and concentration can decrease by up to 15 percent. Children are better able to concentrate as they are not as distracted by dehydration effects such as thirst, tiredness and irritability.
The role of nurseries, schools and learning centres
Children will achieve more when both their health and learning needs are met. Ensuring free access to water and promoting a regular water intake throughout the school day is a vital role for schools in promoting health and providing a healthy learning environment.
For more than two decades, AquAid has been involved in campaigns spearheading the importance of drinking water. We understand a hydrated child is a much happier child. Consequently, we have always encouraged our school customers to provide readily available drinking water for both the children and the entire school contingent.
Drawing from our wide range of high quality water dispensers, we offer a selection of Mains-Fed water coolers for large schools where the water consumption is high as well as Bottle-Fed water coolers for either smaller educational facilities or where there are no water mains available at a drinking water area.
We provide Touch-Free water coolers. Our water coolers are equipped with anti-bacterial taps for increased hygienic water dispensing and various drainage options to reduce overflow and spillage wherever possible.
Moreover, to help create and instil better hydration habits, we also offer free refillable drinking water bottles and free school posters to help keep water top of mind during the school day.

Seeing where we are, we thought it might be prudent and practical to update the guidelines around what is considered good etiquette when replenishing your water bottle or water glass at your office water cooler.
Queuing instead of gathering. Unlike previously where we referred to confusing queues, that’s unlikely to happen currently. Therefore, less queue confusion and more distance queuing is in order. The positive here is it’s unlikely that you’ll need to fight your way past other chatters seeking hydration, allowing you more time and easier access to your cool water or hot water for your lemon water, tea, coffee or a newcomer, the bubble tea (more on this in another instalment).
Distance dispensing. We’re sure that every employer, as with all employees, is making sure that their office or workspace is routinely sanitised and cleansed, to ensure you a safe working environment, with you doing your bit, of course. At AquAid, each of our range of top quality water dispensers is designed in keeping with the highest levels of hygiene at the forefront. This includes the recent introduction of a range of Touch-Free hot and cold water dispensers as well as a non-touch, easy fit attachment for our entire range of hot water boilers.
Sanitise, sanitise, sanitise. As with distance dispensing, maintaining good sanitisation habits protects both you and your colleagues. Again, integral to our business, we understand the importance of sanitisation, which is why we sanitise all Bottled water coolers every three months and all Mainsfed water dispensers every six months.
But, what about your water cooler supplier? How are they helping to ensure a constant, safe supply of drinking water? Rest assured that here at AquAid, we continue to take all precautions and necessary steps to reduce any risk to both staff and customers.
We’re sure, with these updated water cooler etiquettes, we can continue to band together (at a respectful distance, mind) to keep the water cooler the friendliest spot in the office, wherever that may be.
